Motability, the national charity (registered charity no: 299745) has overall responsibility for the Motability Scheme: We direct and oversee the Scheme. We raise funds to supply financial aid to Scheme clients who would otherwise be unable to afford the kind of car and any adaptations that they need. We administer the Government's Specialised Vehicles Fund which supplies financial assistance for clients who need to travel in their wheelchairs.

read moreWe are Motability Operations Ltd, an independent company responsible for the finance, administration and maintenance of the Motability Scheme. All Motability Scheme vehicles are leased to customers by us, and we are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. We support people with disabilities in achieving greater independence, through access to affordable, worry-free mobility. Through the Motability Scheme, we lease cars, Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles, scooters and powered wheelchairs to people in exchange for their mobility allowance.
