My name is Lucy Mallows and I have been enjoying working as a secretary for over 10 years. I trained at Oxford Media and Business School and earned a Secretarial and PA Diploma (Hons) with AMSPAR (medical specialism) in 1998. Since then I have worked in both the NHS and Private sector as medical secretary and most recently PA to a Consultant Paediatrician. In 2007 I decided to take the plunge and 'branch out alone' and work as a freelance medical transcriber, which has been a hugely rewarding step to take.
