read moreOur Midwives hold Ante-natal Clinics by appointment on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Joanne and Jenny, our Practice Nurses, are both fully qualified in childhood vaccinations. There are 5 total rounds, starting when your child is 8 weeks old and ending when they are 3 years and 4 months (their pre-school boosters). If your child is new to the country and has never been registered at a GP Practice before, it would be very helpful if you could provide us with a copy of their vaccination history.

Half of GP appointments are for non-physical and non-medical issues such as relationship breakdowns, anxiety, depression and drug and alcohol addiction, so instead of clinicians reaching for their prescription pad and prescribing unnecessary medication, they will soon be sending patients to see a SOCIAL PRESCRIBER for positive health and well-being outcomes. This holistic approach enables social prescribers to 'prescribe' emotional well-being, as well as provide practical assistance to help deal with the issues that are affecting health, through techniques such as motivational interviewing, health coaching and enabling stronger connections with the local community.

This does not change the way in which we operate or affect your ability to make an appointment or speak with any of the GPs in the practice. Some patients will have been notified of this named GP, all other patients will be notified of their named GP on their next interaction with the surgery. Please feel free to contact us should you wish to find out before then. We would like to stress that this does NOT have an effect on who you see when you visit the surgery.
