The entrance to the village is dominated by the twelfth century Maer Hall and St. Peters Church where Charles Darwin and Emma Wedgewood married. Our newly renovated country cottages and private gardens nestle within the 200 acre Maer Estate, one of the best examples of rural England. The 200 acre Maer Estate boasts a private lake, woodland and meadow walks within rolling countryside.
