Lun Kuen Academy Of Wing Chun

Martial Arts Club in Poole, Dorset
Martial Arts Club in Poole, Dorset There have been many accounts as to the origins of Wing Chun and its true age can only be approximated to be between 350 - 500 years old. Without going into any great depth the story I was told goes like this. Legend has it that a Buddhist nun name Ng Mui, frustrated at not being able to compete with the monks due to size and strength, was out walking one day when she witnessed a fight between a crane and a snake, and adapted what she saw to meet the human body.

Although you should try to practice every day. No, not at all. According to those I teach the quality of the classes are 2nd to none. Lun Kuen is NOT a money making organisation, I teach because I enjoy it and most of all seeing how it help improve peoples lives for the better. If I can do this and cover my costs then I'm happy. We practice safe training and have never had a serious injury (so far).
