read moreJonathon photographed my wedding in June and he was fantastic. He is so experienced and laid back he makes everyone very at ease and comfortable. He has great ideas for shots that would work well, as well as incorporating shots that you really want to get. On my big day the weather was rubbish and it rained all day which meant changing some of our plans but Jonathon was brilliant at adapting and coming up with new ideas. We were able to get some beautiful shots.
Jonathon is such a lovely guy, he was the only wedding photographer we met with as my husband and I hit it off with him straight away. Everyone commented on the day how nice he was.

We contacted Jonathon several months before our wedding, he responded very quickly and our first impression was that he was very friendly and professional. We were both very impressed by his photos on his website and were both keen to have him as our photographer.

On the big day, he turned up to the chambers to meet and greet us, and wasted no time to get started taking photos of everyone there. He has taken many photos at the chambers before so not only did he know where the best shots were, but he also helped us in terms of what to do and expect on the day. He did well to settle a few nerves too!

Following the chambers, we headed up to Calton Hill to get more photos. These turned out to be incredible shots that we fell in love with instantly. With his vast knowledge and passion for photography, he wasted no time in getting as many shots in many different locations. This was particularly important as we only had booked a short time with him.

I would 100% recommend Jonathon to anyone, especially if you are getting married in Edinburgh. Our family and friends were all very impressed by the final photos and have all commented to us that Jonathon was a joy to work with on the day.

read moreJonathon came and took wonderful photographs for 2 "special" birthday parties for my family in the New Club in Edinburgh. I was worried that a photographer would "take over" the event and make us all feel self conscious but I need not have worried. Jonathon was so kind and nice to everyone and put us all at our ease. We hardly noticed he was there and the more formal shots were actually fun. This resulted in the best family photos we have with our happiness on the evenings very well captured. Jonathon was great and happy to help when alot of photographers were unable to meet our request. He was very easy to get along with, passionate about his work and the examples of his previous work where of a very high standard. My husband and I had never done a photo shoot before so were a little nervous about our pre-wedding shoot but Jonathon put us at ease straight away and we were delighted at how these photos turned out! On the day Jonathon was very professional and efficient, he organised the group shots quickly and put everyone at ease instantly. Our newly-wed photos turned our amazing and our guests commented that we weren't away from them or the party too long while these where being taken. Our album has just been received and we are absolutely delighted with how it turned out! Jonathon met my mum and I in the first instance and his strong customer focus shone through, along with his love for what he does. I explained that my husband to be was not a fan of photos and Jonathon straight away without a doubt told me not to worry - true to his words our wedding photos show David(my husband) at ease and even smiling! We also had a pre wedding photo shoot which was a fantastic idea as it really helps you to feel familiar with each other before the big day and was also such a giggle.

David and I have recently received our wedding album - for some to read this it might sound strange, but I am in love with our album. It is such a fab story book of our special day and it just helps to bring back all of our memories. Always puts a smile on the faces of people looking through it.

It's always difficult to be confident when booking a service like this, as "quality" is such a subjective term - Jonathon was reassuringly great from first contact (website and then a meeting to discuss our needs/wants) all the way through the pre-wedding photo shoot, the wedding itself and then, of course, the final pictures themselves.

In the lead up to the day, he was prompt and courteous at answering all of our questions; and on the day he operated with a perfect balance of directing us where necessary, and staying out of the way and snapping candid shots - I have no idea how he managed to get some of the ones he did.

On the day he was a true professional and any fears we had of a videographer being too intrusive were soon gone as he played his role perfectly getting amazing footage whilst blending in. After the day had passed he continued to be spot on, responding quickly to any questions we had, sending over sneak previews and stills very quickly, and then allowing us to input as much/little as we wanted in the run up to our final video. We LOVE the final outcome and would recommend him without hesitation to anyone. We both wish him all the success in the years to come and will undoubtedly be using his services again in the future.
