Our 11 acre gardens are set within the centre of the Cranborne Chase and were originally designed as a Victorian Pleasure Garden by General Augustus Pitt Rivers in around 1880. Civil Ceromonies and receptions are held in the Pavilion (formerly the Victorian Tea Rooms) with drinks served on the Main Lawn, musicians playing from the Singing Theatre, peacocks, outdoor games, striped deckchairs. Each wedding has the full services of our wedding co-ordinator who will ensure the smooth and relaxed running of your special day.

The Larmer Tree Gardens, created by General Pitt Rivers in 1880 are an extraordinary example of Victorian extravagance and vision. The gardens hold a unique collection of ornate buildings, ranging from the spectacular Singing Theatre to the magical Roman Temple. The majestic trees and intimate arbours create secrecy and surprise whilst the open lawns provide a perfect setting for reception drinks and a relaxing game of croquet.
