Martial Arts Club in Edinburgh, Scotland Krav-Maga was created and developed by Imi Sde-or (Lichtenfeld) Israeli Grand-master (1910-1998) who began Krav Maga in the late 1940's whilst serving as Chief Instructor for hand-to-hand combat and combat fitness training for the Israeli Defence Forces. The system has been adopted by the Israeli Defence and Security Forces and has been used in several of the most severe combat settings of this century.

Olympic Lifting Classes
read moreYou will go through a warm up which will develop the general movement patterns for the lifts and then focus on either of the two full lifts or working on various assistance exercises. You don't need to have experience of the lifts but being able to squat, deadlift and press overhead is a prerequisite. If you aren't sure you about these movements then why not book in for some personal training sessions and our coaches will be more than happy to help you. The olympic lifts are becoming hugely popular and training is fun and addictive.

read moreIn order to train in the Krav Maga class you need to first call or email and schedule a class to attend. You pay 10 cash on the evening you are training to whatever coach is taking the class. You will train alongside the regular class to get a feel for what the training is like. We will partner you up with an assistant coach who will train with you and cover the fundamentals of the system which will allow you to assimilate into regular classes more easily. After attending the class you will be sent an email with the month's membership deals.

read moreThe classes will push your child in a controlled manner to become fitter and more resilient. The techniques taught are all age appropriate and the coaches strive to push the children to be better than they were the previous week. All we ever ask the children is to try hard and do their best. The classes focus strongly on teaching children how to become a hard target for bullies and the confidence the students get grows after every session they attend. Being able to see yourself do 10 push ups or 10 front kicks is a great way to build self esteem when at their first session they may only have been able to do five of each.
