If you require an emergency on the day appointment we would suggest you ring as early as possible, as these appointments can be booked up quick. You can also book an appointment through the patient access area of this site. Appointments available online have recently increased to include emergency as well as routine appointments with a GP. Repeat prescriptions are issued at a doctor's discretion, normally for people on long-term treatment. Printed slips are provided for regular repeat medication.

There is no action that you need to take. However, the surgery has produced a 'Privacy Notice' to give you more information on how we use your information, which is displayed in the Reception waiting area and below. Kingswood Health Centre hold a 'Summary Care Record' (SCR) for all our patients. When registering at the surgery you will be asked whether you wish to opt in to this.

Your personal details are encrypted and protected using the highest standard internet security, so it cannot be intercepted. Only you and the surgery are able to see this information. Evidence shows that patients who are better informed and involved with their own care have better health outcomes and are less likely to be admitted to hospital. read moreSocial prescribing is a national NHS England programme, and is a way for local agencies to refer people to a link worker. Link workers give people time, focusing on 'what matters to me' and taking a holistic approach to people's health and wellbeing. They connect people to community groups and statutory services for practical and emotional support. Southern Brooks, in partnership with DHI, has been commissioned to deliver support within GP Practices in South Gloucestershire. Our Social Prescribing Link Workers are based within the Practice, and GPs can refer patients directly to them.

Our team also use the service to send follow up information on consultations, blood results and to get in touch with you when we have been unable to speak to you on the phone. You will be asked to state your preferences on using the text service when you register with us, but can change your mind at any time by speaking to reception. It is practice policy to offer a chaperone when intimate physical examination is necessary.
