Following on from the notice with regard to the impending new powers that HMRC will receive with effect from first April '09, affecting any tax investigation called after this date, we believe that we should advise just what the Revenue will be searching for and how this will effect you for the new tax year and beyond. Remember, the Revenue, if they feel that your records are inadequate, may well penalize you for non compliance. Again there are financial penalties that can be levied against you, if in their opinion your records do not match up with their expectations.
