business systems. These can be computer systems or manual systems. Inputs,
outputs and processes are broken down and checked for efficiency, security and
validation checks. The scope can be very
general EG. Accounts Payable within a Finance Dept. or specific EG. The invoice
logging process

The process consists:

Initial discussion
with a client to ascertain the precise project scope.

Production of a
scoping document for customer sign off.

On site analysis involving management and staff as well as a detailed
breakdown of the system.

Production of detailed report showing details of the process, findings
and recommendations.

Sign
off meeting with client to discuss report, findings and next steps.

Process Analysis similar to systems analysis
but this is more focused on the non IT processes or systems. As with systems
analysis Inputs, outputs and processes are broken down and checked for
efficiency, security and validation checks.
The scope can be very general EG. Manufacture of pens within a specific
plant. or specific EG. Production scheduling or raw material sourcing.

As with Systems Analysis, the
process consists:

Production of detailed report showing details of the process, findings
and recommendations.

Social Business -
This is an emerging technology similar to social media but for business. It
comprises software similar to Facebook, Linked In, Skype etc. that allows a business to
collaborate across their entire landscape. This would include customers,
suppliers, employees etc. It differs from an intranet because it is not static
data for consumption; rather it is real time and immediate. Users contribute by
sharing thoughts and ideas, publishing documents and managing communication
internally and externally in a way that up to now has been limited.

The process consists:

Very
detailed discussions with client to ascertain the precise project goals and
determine what success looks like.

Production of a strategy document outlining the steps required (Each
business is different) This will include hosting options, project management,
change management.

Further discussion to fine tune the project scope and timings.

Production of a
scoping document for customer sign off.

System implementation
