JE Buckle Engineers

JE Buckle Engrs Ltd was established by Jim Buckle in 1970. Jim began out with one van servicing and repairing mostly Lorries, and his wife Ann seeing to the accounts from home. By 1972 he had rented one bay of the premises at Cromer, near Stevenage and taken on an extra mechanic. In 1975 Jim obtained a franchise as a sub dealer for Leyland under ECF and the business steadily grew. By 1986 Jim had purchased the whole site at Cromer and took on the Deutz Fahr Franchise. But it was in 1988 the business really began to grow after Jim took on the increasingly popular John Deere Franchise.
