About Us
read moreThere's a proud pedigree behind the team at the Jack and Craig's cooking has confidence, precision and excitement in equal measure. 2020 sees us celebrate our 28th year as a Devon dining institution. Our ingredients travel no distance at all and many of our suppliers have been with us since the very beginning. The pub can be whatever you want it to be - somewhere for relaxed everyday dining or a venue for a special occasion. We can host wedding receptions, conferences, large parties and breakfast meetings in a number of different rooms.

In 1992, with very limited funds, I bought the freehold of the Jack - a tired and dilapidated roadside pub in need of some serious TLC. With the A30 bypass pending, everyone told me it was a disaster waiting to happen. The rest is now history. After 28 years of hard work, over 10.5 million spent on local food and drink, two kitchens and three refurbishments, we are still going from strength to strength both as a business and as a team.
