About Us
read moreRichard qualified from Dundee University in 1989. He then worked in general practice in Wales and South Manchester before buying the current practice in Macclesfield in 1998. In 2000 Richard invested in a 'CEREC' machine which enables the manufacture of high quality ceramic restorations in one visit. The 'CEREC 3' was the first of its type to be installed in the UK and Richard continued to develop his expertise in the field of CAD CAM dentistry, providing training and lectures to colleagues. Noreen qualified from Cardiff Dental school in 1988.
Same-Day Smiles
read moreThis procedure replaces traditional crowns made in a dental laboratory, when an impression of your mouth is taken and a temporary crown is fitted for 2 weeks whilst the crown is made. The CEREC machine enables us to manufacture a ceramic crown in just one visit. Simply put, you arrive with a defective tooth and leave with it fully restored! Instead of an impression we use a 3D Digital Camera to record the shape of the prepared tooth. The crown is then made to a high degree of accuracy and fitted straight away!
Nervous Patients
read moreNervous or phobic patients are especially welcome at the Insley Dental Practice. We have successfully treated many very nervous patients over the years, transforming their smiles and the health of their mouths, whilst reducing significantly the anxiety they feel in relation to their dental treatment. We achieve this by looking after patients with empathy and understanding, taking the time our patients need. We use pain free anaesthetic techniques and always pause for breaks as required during treatment.
Facial Aesthetics
read moreWhen you come in for your consultation we will discuss your needs and concerns, and appropriate advice and treatment options will be given.
Dermal Fillers
read moreYoung skin is naturally rich in hyaluronic acid (HA) which attracts water, hydrating the skin and resulting in softness and fullness. As we age there is a reduction in HA in the skin. Dermal fillers are gels containing hyaluronic acid (HA) which are injected beneath the skin, to add volume and/or smooth away lines. Dermal fillers are used to treat lines around the mouth (peri-oral and marionette lines) and nose-to-mouth lines (naso-labial folds). The results following treatment are instant and can be expected to last 6-12 months, dependent upon lifestyle.

Children
read moreYounger patients are very welcome at the Insley Dental Practice. We see preschool children of existing patients free of charge, and have a choice of low cost monthly payment scheme or pay-as-you-go thereafter. Preventive care is especially important for kids and we concentrate on this with advice on brushing and diet along with other measures such as fissure sealants. Our Hygienist Kelly helps to care for our young patients with diet and brushing advice. Richard and Noreen have first hand experience of the challenge of caring for kids, with three of them at home!
Complaints
read more1. Insley Dental Practice understands that complaints can be a useful source of information about the patient's perspective of our services and can be used as a resource for contributing to professional development. 2. Staff should be aware that complaints are frequently resolved by giving the complainant an opportunity to air their grievance and receive an explanation of the issues involved. If the complainant knows that they are being listened to and taken seriously, they will often respond in a more positive manner.
