Hope Vets

Veterinarians in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire
Most veterinary practices are limited by the space they have available and Barbie and I have spent many frustrated years watching our patients stress exacerbated by the poor design of clinics we currently have worked in. But our new clinic is purpose built from scratch and has been designed with your pets in mind, delivering them with a quiet, less scary place to recover from procedures or illnesses. Even though we're tiny, our custom built clinic has a complete array of facilities allowing us to give your pets the care they deserve.

About Us
read moreIn the event of an emergency: Animals being animals, they don't always run to schedule so in the case of an emergency there is always help and advice available 24 hours a day. Just call 01442 833 198 and a recorded message will give you a number to phone which goes directly to the vet on call. If you are concerned your animal has ingested something poisonous, or just aren't sure, you can call us or Vets Now. You can also get specific poisons information from the Animal PoisonLine. If it were up to Stephanie, she would be on call all the time but in order that our vets are fresh and on the ball to treat your animals during the day we feel it is important to give them a break.
The Practice
read moreSince we opened our fabulous purpose built clinic in 2008 it seems like lots has happened. Let me think, we achieved accreditation on the RCVS practice standards scheme, we trained up a team who are dedicated to providing you and your pets with the care they deserve, we even got Katie in college and that was in spite of Steph crowding the place with more and more pets, thank goodness she is moving up the evolutionary ladder now! But lots has also stayed the same, we still are delighted to have got to know and be a part of our little animal loving community and count you all as friends.
The Team
read moreSteph's our big chief. Hope Vets was originally just a twinkle in her eye and now with a lot of joy and hard slog it's a reality. Steph is now curating a small zoo - 2 ponies, 3 rats, 2 cats and 3 dogs and a small but rapidly growing child! Steve's our go to guy (provided he isn't on the squash courts of course). He keeps everything working and running so we can focus on the animals. Yes, he definitely got the bad end of the deal but we let him see the animals every now and again as a treat. Bev is mother to Hope Vets, book keeper and granny-nanny.
