Available 24 hours a day, it's especially useful when the practice is closed or telephone lines are busy. Double appointments are not permitted to be booked using online services; any double appointments booked through patient access will be treated as a normal 10 minute appointment slot. You can still contact the practice by phone or in person, this is just another option, which other patients have found is more convenient and saves them time.

read moreWe are very sorry that we cannot keep patients who move out of the practice area. We regret any inconvenience this causes but the resources of the practice are limited and we can only maintain a good service to patients by restricting our area in this way. To ensure fairness to all patients this policy must be strictly enforced, even if your new property is only very slightly outside the boundary. Unfortunately exceptions cannot be made in individual cases. If you move outside the practice area, you have a period of 30 days during which you may still make appointments at our surgery if necessary while you find a new practice in your new area., However our practice is not responsible for visiting you at home during this period.

read moreIf you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements. This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required. It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel - as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine.

Under the law, you should not normally need to see a Doctor for sick-certification for an illness of less than five working days and your employer is not entitled to demand a Doctors certificate.
