read moreHi-Tec Drains offers the complete package when it comes to waste management systems: we can provide new installations, comprehensive inspections of your system to identify any repair or maintenance requirements, as well as organising the cleaning and emptying of your septic tank or treatment plant. Septic tanks are usually found in rural areas, where there is no main sewers. The chemicals in the tank break down the waste and separates it into 3 layers: a bottom sludge layer, a middle layer of clean water and a top layer which generally consists of grease and foam.

read morePlease note that if a blockage cannot be cleared with rodding and jetting then we will provide you with our recommendations and a quote to carry out further required work, however you may still be charged. If the drain is found to belong to the local water authority you will have to call them to clear the drain on your behalf. However you will still be liable to a 60 + VAT abortive fee. Overtime it is inevitable that grease, scale and fat accumulate and restrict flow through pipes - this can in turn lead to a total blockage.

We will then organise a visit which is convenient to you (although there is no need for you to wait in for us if your drains are easily accessible). Engineers from our repairs team can offer a wide range of repair methods, using advanced renovation trenchless technology where possible or more traditional excavation methods if necessary. Relining is our preferred method of repair due to it having very limited disruption.

read moreThere is no need to dig which mean less mess and no reinstatement necessary. The pipe becomes effectively joint free so it is less prone to root ingress and leaking joints, whilst still being as strong and effective as PVC pipes. The cost of relining a drain can be more than 50% cheaper compared to conventional repair methods and you don't have the mess, disruption & lengthy repair times! At Hi-Tec Drains we normally recommend relining the entire length of drain as we believe that it is a more permanent solution than using patch liners.
