Eye Wear Styling Consultation
read moreWith the knowledge that choosing spectacles can be quite daunting for some, we are here to make your experience as easy and enjoyable as possible. Each of our practices has a fully qualified, knowledgable team of Dispensing Opticians who like to do things a little differently. They know the frames inside and out and always buy the frames with you in mind. Our aim is to make choosing new spectacles a relaxing and enjoyable process. Even though selecting new frames is a very individual and personal choice, the lenses that go into those frames are also very important.
Eye Examination
read moreHere at Hepworth and Hall Opticians, you can expect the best quality eye care from our team of experts. We feel that our experienced professionals, longer appointment times and specialist equipment allows us to really take care of you. In your 30 minute eye examination, your Optician will thoroughly examine your eyes and test your vision. You will be asked about any family history of eye problems, medications taken (as some of these can affect your vision) and a few questions about your day-to-day routine to help your Optician fully understand your visual needs.
Dry Eye Clinic
read moreDry eye is becoming an increasingly common problem as the use of computers and working in air-conditioned buildings can really agitate the eyes. Dry eye is an uncomfortable and sometimes inconvenient condition, but with a little bit of extra time and effort, you can really make a difference to the comfort of your eyes. Dry eye occurs when your tears do not lubricate your cornea (front surface of the eye) sufficiently. Every time you blink your tears should coat the surface of your eyes to keep them moist and comfortable.

Oct
read moreWhat is OCT? Ocular Coherence Tomography is an advanced eye scan for people of all ages. Similar to ultrasound, OCT uses light rather than sound waves to illustrate the different layers that make up the back of the eye. Our OCT captures a digital photograph of the surface of the eye at the same time and this can be cross referenced across any areas of concern. The major benefit of this state of the art machine is that it allows your optometrist to see both the back of your eye, and a three dimensional image to look beneath the surface of the regular retinal image.
