Acupuncture is a form of treatment which has been practiced in China and other Eastern countries for 1000's of years. Its focus is on improving the overall wellbeing of the patient which in turn treats specific symptoms. As pain and poor health results form an imbalance within the energy channels of the body, acupuncture works by inserting fine needles into these energy meridiens and re-balance them. In effect acupuncture causes the body to heal itself more speedily and effectively.
