About Us
read moreThe more you know about your pregnancy and your options, the more you are likely to feel in control. The information given here is based on The Pregnancy Book, which your midwife should give you at your first appointment. Here's a checklist of the vaccines that are routinely offered to everyone in the UK for free on the NHS, and the age at which you should ideally have them. Having an ill child can be a very scary experience for parents. If you understand more about the illness it can help you to feel more in control.
Handbridge Medical Centre
read moreWe have specially trained practice nurses who regularly review all asthmatic, diabetic and heart disease patients. All patients aged 40-74 who have not attended the surgery within three years are welcome to attend for a free NHS health check with a Health Care Assistant. Patients will be called for these by letter, but as we have many patients who are eligible, these letters are sent out on a staggered basis, however if you have not had a letter and would like to book, you are welcome at any time.

Patient Participation Group
read moreThe Health Centre has set up a Patient Participation Group, so why not come along to discuss your ideas and hear about planned changes. At its simplest, Patient Participation refers to patients taking an active interest in their healthcare. At present, most Patient Participation Groups operate within GP surgeries and health centres. Their priorities are developed and agreed locally in order to meet local needs and to reflect the interests and energies of the participants. Patient participation can benefit both patients and practices.
