Darren has been an amazing driving instructor, making me feel comfortable and confident when driving since the start. Always knows how to get the best out of you and I would recommend to anyone who wants to start to learn how to drive

I cannot rate Darren at GDI highly enough! I have had the best learner driving experience with him. He is honest, patient and most of all emphatic - adapting his style to the pupil. I can honestly say I would not have passed without him, and I'm so glad I chose him as an instructor!

Darren is an excellent instructor. He really helped to build my confidence after a two year break from driving. I am now a far more competent and skilled driver. Worth every penny - if you are considering it, go for it! Thank you so much.

I contacted Darren to get some refresher lessons having passed my test five years ago. He was fantastic and gave me the confidence to drive solo after just two lessons. Great communication and tips throughout, would definitely recommend to any driver, new or not.

Really great instructor all the way through. Made everything simple and easy to understand, which made the learning experience fast and fun. Was supportive all the way through and gave constructive feedback as to how to improve and what to work on. Every lesson felt as if I was progressing and growing more confident in my abilities and handling of the car.

I would definitely recommend Darren to anyone looking for a driving instructor. I found his teaching style really suited the way I learn. Before I started lessons with Darren I used to feel really nervous about driving and not very confident in my ability. Darren's style of teaching made me feel relaxed from my first lesson and that increased my confidence and definitely made me enjoy lessons more. I have Darren to thank for supporting me so that I was able to pass my test first time.

I cannot put into words how amazing Darren is. Having previously had a different instructor, Darren's lessons were so much more helpful and supportive than any I've had before and made me feel very comfortable driving. I'm so pleased to have passed first time and truly feel this was down to the time and effort he puts into each of his students. Would definitely recommend.

Darren worked very hard to build up my confidence, which started very low due to a few accidents in the past and how late I learnt to drive. He took his time and was patient when I backslid in my confidence. I also felt in control of the car far quicker than I imagined I would, which was due to his instruction. Naturally have an even more positive view of GDI because I passed first time.

I would recommend, especially if you're a bit more worried about learning to drive than others or think you'll need a lot of confidence building. As an added bonus he's also quite fun to talk to in the car, which helps you stay relaxed and also makes the whole experience more pleasant. If you're like me you needed quite a few lessons, so having someone you get on with definitely helps.

Darren is a brilliant driving instructor with a relaxed and simple teaching methods especially when it comes to things that the pupil struggles on. I have learn much faster than I had done with a previous instructor and also enjoyed it much more. Moreover Darren is very easy to talk to which makes the lessons more enjoyable and has never raised his voice.

Darren taught me everything I needed to know about driving (including some useful tips) that helped me pass my test first time. He is friendly and reliable and I would highly recommend him to people of all ages and backgrounds looking for an efficient driving instructor.

Darren is a great teacher. He has a calm attitude and boosts your confidence whilst making you a safe driver beyond just passing your test. The pictures and diagrams, he uses, make it really easy to pick up the manoeuvres. He answered all my stupid questions and went over everything again and again until I was comfortable with driving independently. I could not recommend him more!
