read moreFor us, To the Power of Print means being the kind of company that people really want to use. Because they know we will deliver an excellent product, at the right price, in the right time frame and produced in a sustainable and responsible way. Our clients also appreciate our ability to embrace the specific requirements and logistical challenges of each and every job and turn ink on paper into something memorable and dynamic.
About Us
read moreGPS, a company with generations of printing expertise, dates back to 1797, when Joseph Smith set up a printing company at 34 High Street, Belfast. Since then we've witnessed births, deaths, two world wars and a titanic launch. Looking back over 100 years as an incorporated company, we are truly proud of what we have achieved. However, despite our successes, we have never forgotten where we've come from, and we remain a family owned and managed business. Looking to the future, we are busy relishing the challenges that lie ahead and building upon our solid foundations.
Environment
read moreAt GPS environmental consciousness is inherent in our company culture and not merely an afterthought. This extends from our policies on waste minimisation through to our many accreditations and has resulted in GPS winning a long list of awards. FSC and PEFC are two international organisations that promote responsible forest management. The two organisations were set up in response to concern about deforestation and demand for trustworthy wood labelling, enabling consumers to identify wood and woodbased products from well-managed forests, or recycled sources.

Our work ranges massively in scope, from public to private sectors, large volumes to small scale jobs and across virtually all printed product types. The gallery below provides an inspiring snapshot of our work. However, do feel free to contact us if you'd like to discover more about our expertise in a particular sector.
Finishing
read moreAlmost a third of our staff play a dedicated role in our finishing department and this gives us approximately 1500 finishing hours each week. Proof - in case you needed any - that at GPS, post-print is just as important as pre-press and the litho and digital processes that put ink on paper. It's this resource that helped us produce over 80 million items last year, from single sided business cards to the most elaborate multi-hundred page brochures. We can arrange delivery to one location or multi-drops throughout the UK, Ireland and beyond to your warehouse or the final customer's.
Litho
read moreThe long and the short of it. When we installed our Xerox digital printing machine it was the longest configuration installed in the UK. Although better known for our long run litho work, for cost effective shorter print runs our digital set-up is (ironically) epic. The benefits to our clients are flexibility and cost effectiveness, whatever the job. Our alcohol-free perfecting presses print to the International Colour Standard ISO 12647, to ensure colour consistency throughout the job. Our technological investment in this area of the business has been nothing short of heavyweight.
Remote
read moreRemote, our web-based print management system knows no boundaries. We have acquired over 1050 users, many local and others as far away as Barbados, some 4059 miles away. A positive story of globalisation at its best.
