Born in Gloucester, England I live with my wife Sara and our son James. I have a complete time job as a Telephone engineer. I began swing dancing in 1996 and have been teaching since 1999. I've been dj'ing at dances for 6 years and am known as 'The Duke' behind the decks. Top jive DJ Jon Brett gave me the name, It comes from the song 'Swinging with the Duke' Away from dance I am a great collecter of music, especially of the Punk era. Once a punk, always a punk!

We have been told many times that we teach with humor, patience & passion. We have the utmost respect for the people who attend our classes and always try to make them feel welcome and at ease. We emphasize connection & lead/follow resulting in stylish social dancing. This is all very much a trial and we may need to alter, classes, times and numbers.
