In 1946, a tiny moving and storing business in Hereford was purchased from Trevor Williams and a new firm was established called Trevor Williams (Removers) Ltd. In 1972, a tiny business was purchased from Mr Roy Elliott in London and this became the foundation for the London branch. In 1976, Lalonde ltd in Bristol and Cheltenham was acquired. 1995 saw Greens Removals in Leeds acquired with a Cirencester branch opening in October 1996 from scratch. Similarly, the Altrincham/Manchester branch was set up from a standing start in 1998. Then in 2003, parts of the International Moving Company were acquired bringing an additional branch in Cirencester together with ones in Edinburgh and Loughborough.

read moreGB Liners use a containerised storage system. After preparation, the house contents are packed directly into specially constructed containers, which are closed up in your presence. Containers are then offloaded at one of our purpose-built warehouses and location boards added. They are then stowed away for safekeeping. Goods too large for containers, like ladders and carpets are labelled and racked, and items such as sofas are wrapped, labelled and stored on racks to avoid pressure damage to fabrics.
