FWC Kung Fu

Martial Arts Club in London
Martial Arts Club in London We teach the real thing. We know our lineage, right back to Fan Qiang Liang, the founder of the White Crane System. Our instructors continue to train, they improve and they learn constantly. Underlining our extremely high standards, all of our Full Instructors have been formally graded in China, and been awarded Dan grades. This is rare in the West. Our students know they are learning the real thing! Majority of our instructors, whilst specialising in the White Crane System, have trained in other authentic styles of Kung Fu.

We teach the Classical Chinese Martial Arts of White Crane Kung Fu and Suang Yang Tai Chi. They come to you in the hands of modern-day teachers, scholars, leaders, mentors - we call them instructors. Classics are shaped by successive ages in their own image: they endure despite, or because of this. The Art of War, attributed to Sun Tzu, is one such. It has been called the most "profound, comprehensive and transcendent" of all strategic works.
About Us
read moreOur style is the fundamental traditional type of Chinese Kung Fu. Born out of a woman's need to defend herself and fight injustice, developed and refined in the turbulent battlefields of Chinese history, and used today to perpetuate a cultural heritage. The style taught in our classes is Tiger Crane Combination Kung Fu, an acknowledged part of the White Crane System of Kung Fu. It is a hard, external style. Stances are low and powerful, rooted to provide stability, but providing explosive spring power when moving.
Our Instructors
read moreEach Instructor has a page to write about themselves, but this is background to what we look for, how we select and train our instructors, and what we expect of them. Most teach full time as their sole profession, but some teach alongside another career or academia. Regardless, they all have to train with the Chief Instructor, Dennis Ngo. Every Sunday we have classes specifically for the Instructors, and they also have dedicated full training days and longer trips. All Full Instructors serve an apprenticeship (as an Assistant Instructor) lasting at least two years.
