Forest Town
Football Club & Equipment in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire
The Club originally began back in 1981 as a Sunday staff called Village FC playing in the Mansfield & District Sunday League. In 1983 the club changed it's name to Smith Street FC. The club began to play at it's present ground in 1986 when the club became known as Mansfield Colliery FC due to the close links with the colliery. When the Colliery closed down in 1988 the name changed to Forest Town Welfare FC to represent the local community, still playing in Sunday football today.
