Before you arrive, you will receive the details of your host family, including contact details, so you can contact them before you arrive in England. If you come from a country with health care arrangements with Britain, there is no charge to see the doctor although you will have to pay for any medicines. This free treatment does not apply to medical conditions that existed before your arrival in the UK nor does it apply to dental or optical treatment.
