These sheep are known for high muscle content which is perfectly balanced with fat to create the best flavour and the best texture. Its not just the breed of lamb that makes ours the best. We dry age our lamb for 7 days before butchering to lock in all the delicate, subtle and rich flavours. It also makes the lamb incredibly tender, perfect for Sunday roast and shepherds pie alike!

The quality of all the meat is superb, and until I tried these guys I thought I was never going to find anything that was as tender and flavoursome as that which my Butcher Grandfather produced years ago, but boy how wrong was I. I have been using Eat Great meat for a very long time and have never had a problem. Fast delivery! I order in large amounts and always find the service to be totally fantastic. read moreI thought I would give these guys a try as nothing ventured nothing gained as they say, well I was impressed not only by the portion sizes but the flavour of the meat.
I brought lamb, beef and pork and have enjoyed every morsel, I am a good home cook and though I live on my own I prefer home cooked meals every day also I enjoy entertaining but due to the current climate I cant do that, but I did make a beef, mushroom and onion pie filling using your stewing beef and shared that with the family, it was delicious, so I am going to place another order as I was so impressed.

It was Thomas' son James who started a small butchers shop on the farm. As butchering became more successful James' son Joseph Dyson moved to another farm at Oxspring near Penistone which was a bigger farm and allowed the butchering business to expand. The business has continued to expand into wholesaling nationwide. When I came into the family business in 2005 I noticed that there were many local, traditional butchers closing and many customers only had the option of going to a supermarket for their meat.
