About Us
read moreThe Eastwood Funeral Partnership is an Independent Family business which can trace its origins back to the Victorian era. From the 1800s to the present day we have been serving families from Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, growing our territory with each new generation. In 2017 we are celebrating the 150th anniversary of the establishment of the business. Over the years, our name has changed but the family business approach has always stayed at the heart of our approach which is why we remain a trusted pair of hands for families in need of our help.
Cremation Service Planning
read moreCremation is the preferred choice for almost 70% of funerals today for a variety of reasons. If you are considering cremation, the main decision you need to make is to decide which crematorium to choose. You may choose whichever crematorium you wish, even if it is not the closest. It's a decision which most families make based on personal preference or the location of a former family funeral. Bramcote has two chapels - the Serenity Chapel and the Reflection Chapel. The Serenity Chapel can seat up to 120 people and the Reflection Chapel can seat a maximum of 46 people, with no additional standing room.
Funeral choices
read moreArranging a funeral involves a number of different decisions to be made and often involves a number of family members in making those decisions. At Gillotts, our role is to help and support families in making those choices. The key elements involved in arranging a funeral normally relate to whether it's a burial or cremation, a religious or non-religious ceremony, the degree of personalisation to the service and the type of wake or reception you'd like to have after the service. This section of our website aims to provide you with the information you're likely to need, in order to be able make these choices with your family.
Burial or cremation
read moreMany families choose burial for personal preference, family tradition or religious reasons. Some people also like the idea of having a permanent place where they can go to be in close proximity to their loved one. If burial is your preferred option, your main decision is which cemetery or churchyard to choose. Please be aware that not all cemeteries and churchyards in our local area have room for further burials. Please contact us if you would like more information about a specific cemetery or churchyard.
Memorials
read moreWe can provide a wide variety of high quality memorials - from temporary memorials such as wooden crosses to permanent memorials such as headstones and plaques. We provide a range of temporary and permanent options for graves and cremated remains plaques in Cemeteries and Churchyards. We can provide a simple wooden cross with an engraved nameplate to mark a grave once an interment has taken place, and cremated remains plots can be marked with a small plastic plaque with an engraved nameplate. We work in conjunction with E Hawley (Masons) Limited, a long-established firm of Memorial Masons.
