About Us
read moreI am an independent female DVSA approved instructor living in Buxton and have been a driving instructor since 2005. I keep up to date with new teaching techniques and adapt courses for each pupil as I understand that everyone learn in different ways and at different speeds. If you are nervous about starting to drive then don't worry, I am patient and will make the lessons relaxed and fun, so you will quickly develop your driving skills with confidence.
Driving schools
read moreThe Driving Standards Agency has researched that the average learner takes between 40 and 50 one hour lessons with extra practice with a friend or relative to achieve test standard. We recommend pupils to take one-and-a-half or two hour lessons as our experience has shown that these longer lessons are far more beneficial, allowing you to cover the driving syllabus quicker and spend less time recapping the last lesson. This can then reduce the average amount of hours required. These longer sessions are therefore much better value, saving you time and money in the long run.
Intensive driving courses
read moreIntensive courses don't suit everyone; they suit those which can't commit to weekly lessons and who have previous driving experience. You need to be someone who can take in lots of information over a short period of time and be able to maintain concentration, to make full use of intensive courses. It doesn't necessarily suit those that are slightly nervous or timid, and need to take more time over the information and skills that they are learning. You need to be honest to yourself, maybe weekly driving lessons would suit you more than an Intensive course?
