Over the years it gathered in girth and was even featured in the Sunday Telegraph in response to the escalating problem of ‘what to do' with disgarded Royal Mail elastic bands. A cross section would reveal the variety of colours used by the RM across this 3 decade period. Sadly the rise of email has reduced future growth to a minimum.
