We would first visit the property and carry out an inspection to determine its overall condition and identify any defects and essential works that need to be undertaken. Following this, we would prepare a specification for the remedial works and, if required, obtain competitive quotes from builders known to us. Whilst the works are progressing on site we can carry out site inspections and agree the contractor's valuations.

De Silva Structures can advise you on all matters relating to an existing party wall or structure, a new building at or astride the boundary line, or an excavation within 3 or 6 metres of a neighbouring structure.

We would normally visit the site to discuss your proposals and then provide structural calculations and details for your loft conversion. Where necessary, we will recommend an architect who could provide the details for your scheme. Alternatively, if an architect is already employed we can liaise with them and provide calculations based on their drawings. To simplify the process for you we can also obtain tender prices from known contractors, obtain building regulation approval and carry out site inspections.
