Datoc Engineering are sub-contract CNC machining specialists located in Crawley, West Sussex, providing a 1st class service in CNC milling and turning. Having been founded since 1965 we currently have a lot of knowledge in the machining of components from castings, forgings, billets, bar, huge diameter thin walled tube, flame cut profiles and plate, in materials from stainless steel to plastics. Founded for over forty years, our CNC experience is 2nd to none, if you require one-off prototypes or huge batches.

read moreDatoc Engineering was established in 1965 and has seen many changes in that time. This is a family owned and run business. We started to move away from conventional machining to CNC in September 1980, when we bought our first two CNC machines from Hitatchi Seiki. We now have fourteen CNC machines. Our workshop and offices are situated in Crawley, West Sussex which is within 1mile of the M23 and Gatwick Aiport, which gives easy access to both the North and the South. We have 6500sq ft of production area.

read moreDatoc Engineering acheived certification of BS EN ISO 9002 in 1996. To complement our machining capacity we have a Mitutoyo CMM with a measuring envelope of 700 x 600 x 450 high. We also have a fully equiped conventional inspection department.

read moreWe have 7 CNC machining centres, 4 of these are vertical the others are horizantal multi pallet machines, one of which has 11 pallets. The capacity of our 4 axis vertical machines is upto1350mm x 500mm x 630mm with a maximum weight of 1.5 tonnes. The capacity of our horizantals is 500mm x 400mm x 400mm.

read moreWe have 7 CNC lathes. The capacity of these lathes is from 20mm to 530mm dia with a maximum turned length of 1000mm. Our latest addition, a HITACHI CS25 a pallet loaded inverted vertical lathe, was purchased in January 2004.
