Victorian Greenhouses
read moreThe Victorians knew about greenhouses and there are examples of Victorian Greenhouses still standing in some of our stately homes today. But they suffer and are under constant repair. The glass was 2mm (one twelth of an inch) thick, now we use glass twice as thick and toughened to safety glass standards. We still use timber for some of the detailing such as sculptural boarding but now this is long lasting and ecologically sourced. Todays larger panes offer more light to your plants. We have retained the high eaves, large capacity guttering, wide hinged doors and still offer the main Victorian feature of a 45 degree roof pitch which is both imposing and impressive.

Greenhouse with Cold Frames
read moreThe complete gardener will opt for a side of cold frames with their greenhouse. This offers the facility to harden off plants in the transition between the greenhouse and the garden. As tender seedlings start to mature cold frames can prove invaluable. Not only do they afford extra growing space but the primary purpose of a cold frame is to give plants the best chance of survival before being planted out in the garden. Initially the cold frame lids can be lifted in the warmth of the day and closed at night to offer a level of protection to tender plants. As temperatures rise the lids can be left open and eventually the plants will be hardened off to a point that they are ready for planting into the garden.

The men erecting it were efficient, charming and very good at their job, which was made easy because they were dealing with a top quality product. Beautifully designed aesthetically and practically with a superb finish. I am a person who is very difficult to please, I like the best, I certainly got with this beautiful greenhouse.

read moreI have enjoyed my Cultivar greenhouse for just over a year now, and its quality and 'stature' has attracted so much positive feedback from neighbours and passers by alike. The quality of the building sets its self apart from the competition and I am extremely proud of my acquisition, which has been the focal point of our first year in the garden at our new home.

Its definitely the 'Rolls Royce' of greenhouses, but even the best quality products can develop problems from time to time.....

Upon returning from a weeks holiday, I was dismayed to find that three window vents had become detached, but my dismay and trepidation was short-lived after Cultivar's prompt e-mail reply assuring me that a service visit would be arranged ASAP.

Most commentary about products and services these days seem to relate to the negative side of customer service but Cultivars positive response to my issue with the overhead vents has left me largely speechless and in awe!

To have this fault resolved by fitting brand new replacement panels and actuators without quibble or fuss within 60 hours of the problem being reported is absolutely astounding. Your company is to be highly commended. This is superb customer service and I really appreciate your response and service.especially given my location in Scotland!

I cant recommend Cultivar highly enough, both for the original product and for after sales service.

read moreFrom start to finish, the service has been amazing. Excellent communication, clear instruction and did exactly what they said they would do, when they said they would do it.
The greenhouse itself is amazing, was worried about the price initially but I now believe it is real value for money.
Thanks to Daniel and the team, including the fitters (who were brilliant) for a great experience.
Would wholeheartedly recommend.
Just got to get growing now!!

read moreAlmost simultaneously my wife and I saw the Cultivar greenhouse at the Chatsworth Flower Show. It stood out from others, exuding style and class.

Fast forward three months and the greenhouse is erected, the delay down to our overworked landscape gardeners finding time to prepare the base, no easy task in our sloping garden.

Throughout the whole process Cultivar have impressed. As an example, my very first enquiry was met with a detailed, after working-hours, reply and since then all communications have been personal and timely. This is a company that establishes a rapport with its clients.

We chose the Victorian themed greenhouse and are delighted with the decision. It echoes our mid Victorian cottage. Though it might have the slickest of modern materials, all perfectly engineered, it is still harmonious with the cottage garden setting.

The greenhouse exudes class. Buy cheap, buy twice is a justified aphorism. This greenhouse is not cheap but just a cursory look tells you it is beautifully engineered, made of top grade materials, and built to last. It will certainly out see me!

If there is a problem with the greenhouse its a perverse one - its too nice to use! I love the double level shelving and the height inside the building, even basketball players would not be stooping. One neighbour has already told us of her deep greenhouse envy and the landscape gardeners (who incidentally tend John Majors garden) and a well known garden designer friend of ours have both commented in extremely favourable terms.

Youll be proud to own this greenhouse. Buy it and you wont regret it.

read moreBought a house, loved the unrivalled quality, style and design detailing of the Cultivar greenhouse so - sold the house and clever Cultivar moved the greenhouse for us to our new home. The fitter was patient careful and very helpful and we now have a fabulous greenhouse with breathtaking views across the Cotswolds.

It is a cherished sanctuary from that which the world throws at you.

read moreI first saw the Cultivar greenhouse at the Grand Designs show in Birmingham and knew straight away that it was the perfect complement for our new build contemporary house. The firm were a delight to deal with and they erected it on a wet and windy Cumbrian December day without any complaints or problems. I have been very impressed with the solid construction and maintenance free structure all at a reasonable, affordable cost. Cultivar have also been very helpful with post installation adaptations and extras. Since we have had the greenhouse several passing walkers have stopped to ask who made it and we happily recommend Cultivar to them.

Excellent service!
Just to say we are very pleased with our greenhouse, it looks very impressive in it's location ( I think the lads took some photos)

Martin and Simon did a wonderful job. They arrived on time, and that is no mean feat given we are in the Highlands of Scotland and then worked through some pretty poor weather in the afternoon.

Luckily the weather was better the following morning when they were back to finish off. Very pleasant, knowledgeable lads, thank you to them.

Thank you to you all, purchasing was an easy process and delivery and installation was excellent.
