Cubby Construction and Kier Highways worked collaboratively to provide a robust economic solution to a 106m damaged section of road to strategically reconnect Cumbria, under a unique arrangement between Cumbria. De-vegetation of a large area of steep sloping ground, installation of ground reinforcement to prevent soil slip whilst protecting a reed bed and the adjacent Lake from contamination caused by the works. The project included the restoration of the River Lyvennet back into its former channel.
