Council Of Disabled People

The CDP is an organisation run and controlled by Disabled people. It has been in existence since the early 1990's and exists to promote the rights and the full participation of Disabled people economically, socially and politically. The organisation has always worked towards promoting the interests of Disabled people regardless of their particular impairment under medical/personal model definition by concentrating on removing those barriers that exclude disabled people from taking a complete part in the social, political and economic lives of the community in which they live.
