25 years ago, Consol opened its 1st tanning centre: just three sun beds in an Copenhagen shop. Today, it is the leading tanning salon chain in Europe, with approximately 350 outlets in Denmark, the Faro Islands, the Czech Republic, Germany and throughout the UK. As the forerunner of fully-automated, self-service tanning centres in Denmark, where partly-manned shops form over 80% of the tanning market, the Danish concept was brought to the UK in 1996.
