Chiropractor Anne French
read moreChiropractic manual therapies, best known for relieving lower back pain, however, most Chiropractors will treat the whole body, back, neck and limbs. A Chiropractor appears to concentrate on spinal joint function but really we are fascinated with the spine because there are 31 pairs of nerves that exit each side of the spine, which innervate muscles, ligaments and skin. These same nerve roots also innervate organs and glands. When the spine or any joint in the body is not functioning correctly it can cause inflammation and back pain due to disturbed nerve function.
Lower Cross Syndrome
read moreA while ago I wrote a blog on Upper Cross Syndrome, complete with exercise videos on how to counter it. I said at the time that I would also write one for Lower Cross Syndrome to improve poor posture - and finally - here it is! I don't want to repeat the same information so I suggest you look at the first blog here to get the full explanation as it's good to understand why you are doing something, that way you are more likely to do it. The same rules apply - you need to stretch the hypertonic (tight) muscles first before you do the exercises to strengthen the hypotonic (weak) muscles.
