We are able to accept your old computers (as long as they are not more than 10 years old) and put them to good use once again.
This is a free service that we can provide to both our home and business customers.
We take your old computer and depending on its condition either
refurbish and resell your computer/individual components, or send
individual items which cannot be reused or repaired to our recycling
partners.
With items that we sell on, we donate the proceeds of the sale to Action for M.E. via our JustGiving
page we do not make any money from the resale of any working
computers/items, so you can be sure that your old computers are still
being put to good use and a worthy cause benefits financially at the
same time.
What happens to my old computer?
Step 1: We test your computer to check whether it is still fully functional.
For working systems:
The computer is given a full internal and external valet to ensure optimum performance.
Hard drives are securely wiped to ensure existing or deleted data is unrecoverable.
For non-working/incomplete systems:
We strip the system down and test all parts to check if they are still working.
Any items that cannot be reused/repaired are recycled by our recycling partners.
Step 2: We sell your computer/parts
All items are sold to UK buyers, ensuring that your items are being reused again.
Step 3: Proceeds of sales go to charity
