PPI is a product sold by the financial industry to protect you from unforeseen circumstances which may stop you from making the repayments. It has been noted by the office of fair trading and the Financial Services Authority that a wealth of PPI's have been mis-sold, which has resulted in a great number of ppi claims. The CAB (Citizens Advice Bureau) has reported that from a survey of their customers claims on their PPI only 15% were accepted. This in itself casts doubt over the validity of ANY PPI policy whether mis-sold or not.
