read moreSince the 1974 acquisition of local carriage master John Sheward & Sons, Christopher and David developed one of the finest fleets of ceremonial vehicles in the Midlands. We offer a modern fleet of Jaguar hearses and limousines; each vehicle being built to our own specification and replaced every 3 years, thus affording the highest level of luxury and reliability. John Wilcox provides our Jaguar vehicles, and is the only Jaguar approved coachbuilder in Europe. We also offer a fully restored 1960's Austin Princess hearse and limousine.

read moreIf the death is expected, and occurs at home, you will need to contact the family doctor (or Shropdoc- if out of hours). Once a doctor (or medical practitioner) has attended, please contact us and we will be able to provide guidance and support and will, when you are ready, despatch our private ambulance to accept the person that has died into our care. If the death occurs in a hospital, hospice, or care home, the duty manager will contact the doctor and next of kin. They will then contact us accordingly.

This usually falls to the next of kin (if they are able) or an Executor appointed by the deceased and named in their Will. However, anyone within the immediate family (or the institution where the deceased resided, if there are no family) may accept responsibility. If you take responsibility for the arrangement of the funeral you are entering into a consumer contract with us and are legally bound to finance the funeral; whether the funds come from the estate of the deceased, or your own private funds.

You are welcome to discuss your choices with us, and we will be pleased to make you aware of local arrangements in all crematoria and places of worship. If the service is in church, we will need to obtain permission from the clergy before certain music can be played, and certain restrictions regarding your choice may apply.
