During the late 1990s, ChristianSteven Software Ltd. Executives experienced firsthand the challenges every business faces with regards to business intelligence. While working as a client service manager, Ian Gifford's appetite for information with which to make better business decisions seemed insatiable. Consequently, Steven Amani's days were spent generating, collating, and packaging more than 200 Crystal reports per week for distribution to Ian and other managers at the firm. Steven searched for a business intelligence tool that would automate his work, but while he found tools, none would automate the whole process.
