read moreOur journey began in Standish at our first restaurant El Taperio. The small rustic venue allowed Carlos to show our town the true authenticity of Spanish cuisine in Wigan's first Tapas restaurant. Our next restaurant La Posada, situated below Mab's Cross Hotel on Wigan Lane, was a step up from the small setting of our first venture. After two years at La Posada, a greater opportunity arose just down the lane. Casa Carlos at Standishgate, our first restaurant owned by us. Over the 14 years we spent here, Carlos thrived spending each day pursuing his passion to cook & serve authentic food in his own kitchen.
