Carew Centre

Carew II is a family and training Centre owned and operated by the Newtownards Road Women's Group Ltd (NRWG) The NRWG Ltd are a group of women from inner East Belfast and were established in 1991 in a direct response to the threat of closure of a local Family Centre. As previous users of the Centre we felt an obligation to work to ensure the provision was there for other families. The current Centre - Carew II - is situated in a new building in Tamar Street, off the Newtownards Road and has been operating since August 2000, although the NRWG Ltd came into existence almost ten years before this.
