read moreWe provide experienced and fully-qualified class music teachers to deliver effective and engaging curriculum music lessons once a week throughout term time. Students will become more confident musicians and learners, gaining a broad and balanced knowledge of music of all genres and styles. Our music curriculum lessons support students to achieve Arts Award Discover and Explore (KS1/2), Bronze (KS3) and Gold (KS4/5). Our lessons also provide evidence of Curriculum Design, Partnerships and Pupil Engagement, supporting schools to achieve Artsmark.

read moreFOR: One or more secondary schools with partner primaries. Music excellence networks bring together schools in a cluster including one or more secondaries and their partner primaries. We provide free support to work together to provide high quality music education, sharing skills and ideas, and raising standards. Music excellence networks can also include local organisations and individuals committed to excellence in music. In a music excellence network, a designated Music Development Manager works with the schools and other organisations to facilitate effective communication and delivery of sustainable projects.

read moreWe offer a wide range of workshops to develop students' understanding and appreciation of world cultures and traditions through music and dance. Workshops are very flexible to fit the needs of your school, with a variety of available music genres including African Drumming, British Folk Music, Indian Music, Steel Pans and Taiko.

read moreCOST: 30 per student for the five-hour course, including all course resources and topic-related materials. Music theory is an aspect of musicianship that you can develop through your instrumental tuition. It provides a deeper understanding of the music you play. It's also really useful for budding composers, arrangers and songwriters, and becomes essential for some advanced grade exams. Our workshops are targeted to support the key level of achieving Grade 5 Music theory - with stepping stones to that if needed - to cover topics requested by students.

At Cambridgeshire Music, we provide specialist support for cultural education development at all levels, working with school governors, leadership teams, curriculum leads and general teaching staff. One hour annual cultural education planning discussion with a Music Development Manager: working out where you want to go and how to get there in practical and cost-effective steps. Followed up with a development conversation summary.

read more250 a school term for a set of instruments (up to a whole class between 15-30 instruments). Collection and delivery costs 50 each journey. Our instrument bank is based at our Huntingdon centre. We can lend you a single instrument, or a set of instruments for your group - subject to availability. Use them for lessons and activities in or out of school, as well as taking them home to practise. Our bank of instruments are fully maintained, although are not necessarily brand new. We can deliver them to you and collect them afterwards (at an additional charge).
