Litho printing was invented in Prague by Alois Senefelder around 1796. In Mr Senefelder's day, the ink was crudely transferred from a stone to the paper. Today we use extremely sophisticated equipment which electronically etches your image onto an aluminium plate, this then transfers to a high quality blanket and finally to the paper.
