Joyce Young, a BA Hons graduate of the Glasgow School of Art, has been a fashion designer since graduating in 1975. Having earned huge knowledge in the fashion industry she decided to launch By Storm a new concept in the bridal market. The 1st shop opened in 1994 in Bearsden, Glasgow. Joyce designs for Modern Brides and stylish Mothers and Guests who want a less formal look. Joyce's designs are sophisticated and flattering to the figure with a timeless understated elegance. The combination of simplicity of line and luxurious fabrics together with a keen eye for colour and detail make the By Storm Look very different.

read moreOur studio is where all our made to measure and couture garments are made. It is in North Glasgow 5 minutes drive from our shop in Bearsden. It is a 3,500 square foot area where we have computer pattern grading, sewing and cutting downstairs and reception, fitting rooms and showroom upstairs. If you are having your fittings in Scotland this is where you will come. Once you have placed your order your measurements are taken at the studio and all the fittings take place there. If you are a London customer your measurements and fittings will be done in the shop in Haverstock Hill.
