We see Shiatsu as both an art and a science, encouraging the student's self-development and creativity, based on a firm foundation of theoretical and practical knowledge. A major focus of the school is on the development of the intuitive awareness and sensitivity of the students, encouraging the listening in depth to another's body and being. The student learns to diagnose and respond with the touch that meets the individuals needs, giving a Shiatsu treatment which is unique and personally tailored to bring about a deep level of healing.

read moreYear One of the Practitioner Training Course costs 1790. You can pay a 300 deposit for this course. To register for this course you will have needed to have completed the Foundation Course with the school or the equivalent elsewhere. If you have registered for the whole Year ie Foundation and Year One then you will have received the 200 discount effectively making this part of the course 1590, paid in full or by standing order. This comprehensive course, which follows on from the Foundation Course (stage one) makes up the first year course of the Practitioner Training.

Most of the Shiatsu tuition provided by the school is offered as part-time non-residential weekend courses. The classes, which are held in a friendly and supportive atmosphere, are enlivening and inspiring.

Training commences with the full One Year Course, and offers a Diploma of Shiatsu on successful completion of the 3 years and the final examinations. It provides a full and in-depth training in all aspects of Shiatsu enabling the practitioner to give confident and appropriate treatment to the patient. The course covers all aspects of the role of the therapist as a professional, including listening and communication skills and the setting up and management of a practice.
