read moreBristol North & Bristol South Taekwondo teach the martial art of Taekwondo at three locations in Bristol - Bradley Stoke, Hengrove and Southville. Classes are run by Mr Russ Martin, a highly experienced (35 years in fact!) and qualified Seventh Dan Black Belt. Mr Martin is also assisted by an enthusiastic team of qualified instructors. TaeKwon-Do is a Korean martial art and self-defence/fitness system which can loosely be described as a cross between Karate and Kickboxing. We train 6 nights of the week at three locations around Bristol (Bradley Stoke, Southville and Hengrove).
New Starters Information
read moreBeginners are always welcome at any of our three clubs (Bradley Stoke, Hengrove and Southville). We don't expect you to have had any experience of martial arts before. And generally our beginners tend to be unfit too! We soon try to fix that! Occasionally a club may be very full, or we may have a special event taking place, so it is always advisable to check with us before coming along for your first lesson. Parents - please see our Children's TaeKwon-Do section for everything you need to know about your child starting TaeKwon-Do.

read moreWill Tae Kwon-Do get you fit? Yes. Will it be hard work? Yes, but it will be worth it! You can expect to gain a higher degree of fitness, become stronger and more flexible, possibly shed a few pounds even (depending how often you train and any other fitness work you do), increase your confidence, and have fun doing it all! As with starting any physical activity, it is wise to check with your doctor before taking up TaeKwon-Do. Ours is a very physical art which can put great demands on your body - but can also get you fitter, stronger, healthier and happier!
