There are many overnight courier firms available, many of which are household names. Most of these firms use a hub and spoke method of delivery. This means most goods are processed through a central hub, usually situated in the Midlands, for delivery to the depot local to your client. Whilst this is a very efficient and cost effective method of sorting parcels, hubs can be the cause of the most of loss, damage and delay to parcels. Many bigger firms are restricted to their own services and depots.
